Dr Rachel Wooldridge was initially employed as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, following the completion of her Bachelor of Science (majoring in Genetics and Biochemistry) at Monash University in Victoria. She then went on to complete her Masters degree in Genetic Counselling. Dr Wooldridge studied medicine at The University of Queensland and completed her Physician training at the Gold Coast Hospital. She also undertook advanced training in Haematology (both Physician and Pathology) at both the Gold Coast and Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospitals.
Throughout her training, Dr Wooldridge was an associate lecturer at Griffith University, a member of Postgraduate Medical Education Council of Queensland (PMCQ), and a representative of the Southern Rotation Physician Training Group. Dr Wooldridge was awarded dual fellowship from the Colleges of Physicians and Pathologists of Australasia and commenced private clinical practice and employment with QML Pathology in February 2015.
Her special interests include Haematosis, Thrombosis and Pregnancy related haematological disorders.
