Dr Foroughi is a consultant anatomical pathologist at QML Pathology since late 2020. She is involved in diverse areas of anatomical pathology in her current position, mainly dermatopathology, gastrointestinal pathology, uropathology and breast pathology.

Before joining QML Pathology, she was working at Royal Darwin Hospital as a staff specialist, after being awarded the Fellowship of the RCPA in 2019. She received two years of training as an anatomical pathology registrar in Darwin from 2017-2018. Before that she was a consultant anatomical/clinical pathologist for 6 years in her home country.

She had been awarded an Australian Government’s Endeavour Executive Fellowship in 2016, in conjunction with the School of Medicine at Griffith University, Gold Coast. She also had an honorary observership in gastrointestinal pathology in 2014, in University College London Hospital, UK. Dr Foroughi has special interest in gastrointestinal pathology, uropathology, dermatopathology and breast pathology.
